The National Council of Jewish Women Greater Kansas City Section (NCJW) is a volunteer organization, inspired by Jewish Values, that works through a program of research, education, advocacy and community service to improve the quality of life for women, children and families, and strives to ensure individual rights and freedoms for all.
Signature programs include the Interfaith Luncheon, Parties for the Blind, Women Helping Women Luncheon (focusing on domestic violence), Hello Israel (curriculum-based enrichment activities presented to sixth graders), scholarships, and community service projects dedicated to assisting students in the Kansas City, KS and Kansas City, MO school districts.
NCJW is also active in Israel, as sponsors of the Women & Gender Studies Program and the Women Studies Forum at Tel Aviv University, and Yad B'Yad, a grant program benefiting at-risk children and their families.
