Chabad House Center of KC, headquarters for Chabad-Lubavitch in the states of Kansas and Missouri, was founded in 1970. Our goal is to enhance Jewish pride and identity by making Judaism accessible to each and every Jew. Our doors are open to all Jews regardless of their background, affiliation, or level of observance. With special emphasis on youth, Chabad House of KC has developed countless innovative programs to excite and inspire Jewish youth in our rich Jewish heritage. Chabad also serves the community with adult education, social programs, Kosher food pantry, Mikva, preschool, Hebrew school, counseling and outreach to area college campuses and smaller communities in Kansas and Missouri.

The Chabad Jewish Center at the University of Kansas is one of more than 110 on-site Chabad on campus centers across America. The purpose of the center is to provide a warm, intellectually stimulating place for young students of all persuasions to learn and experience more of the Jewish heritage. Chabad’s goal is to anticipate and serve the needs of students on a social, educational and spiritual level with a diverse variety of programs and activities. Chabad recognizes all Jews, regardless of affiliation, background or levels of observances. All are welcome to participate -- free of charge -- in the many programs and events, including Shabbat dinners, holiday parties, social events and classes. The Chabad Jewish Center is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and serves as the “Home Away From Home” for countless Jewish students at KU. The Chabad Jewish Center also offers services to the Jewish communities in Lawrence, Topeka and Manhattan, Kan. These include: adult education classes, services, holiday events and publications and other Jewish awareness programs.

Or Hadash, established Dec. 2002, has been working, on a limited part-time basis, with Rabbi Jonathan Malamy, Evanston, Illinois. Rabbi Malamy is a 2000 graduate of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College, Elkins Park, Pennsylvania.  Rabbi Malamy comes to Kansas City several times throughout the year to lead High Holy Day services, provide additional educational opportunities for members of Or Hadash, and to lead Shabbat and other holiday services and celebrations.

Or Hadash, A New Light, is a dynamic, inclusive, participatory Jewish Reconstructionist community (Kehillah) that is deeply committed to experiencing Judaism through learning and exploring our heritage, culture and traditions with renewed meaning in a contemporary American context.  We accomplish this through study (Torah), worship and joyous practice (Avodah), social justice (Tikkun Olam), acts of kindness (Gemilut Hasidim) and connecting with the Jewish People (Am Yisrael). We value and depend upon the input of each of our members, all of whom represent a diverse group of people from all walks of life and all levels of experience.

Kehilath Israel Synagogue strives to be a warm and welcoming congregation, proud of its traditional values of learning Torah, engaging in meaningful and inspirational prayer and practices, and performing acts of loving kindness. The Purpose of the Lawrence Jewish Community Center is to serve as an inclusive and thriving center of Jewish spiritual, cultural, and social life for the Lawrence area.

Weekly Friday night Shabbat services, 7:45pm. The LJCC also offers a monthly all musical service by Shiray Shabbat, holiday and festival services, and High Holiday services. As a charter member of the Union for Reform Judaism, Temple Adath Joseph has been meeting the needs of the Reform Jews of St. Joseph, north Kansas City and the region for over 150 years. Our warm and inclusive Shabbat services are held weekly at 5:30 p.m. in our chapel, with festival and High Holy Day worship in the large, elegant main sanctuary. The Temple’s religious school is the only one in St. Joseph and meets in the comfort of congregants’ homes on a bi-weekly basis with Rabbi Audrey Korotkin. Temple Adath Joseph stands on the three-pronged foundation of Jewish life: Torah (learning), Avodah (worship) and G’milut Chasadim (service to others).

Temple Beth Sholom is affiliated with the Reform movement, but our congregation serves all Jews in Topeka since we  are the only Jewish congregation in Topeka, Kansas.  The congregation has approximately 120 families.  Services are on Fridays at 7:30 pm.  Religious School is on Sunday mornings at 9:30 am. 
Hebrew school is at 11:30 am on Sundays  and Tuesdays at 5:00 pm.  The congregation offers religious, cultural, educational and social  programs.
