To sustain and enhance Jewish Life at Home and Around the World.

We know that something magical happens when parents sit down together to read to their children. That's why PJ Library is here for you.

PJ Library is an international, award-winning program created by the Harold Grinspoon Foundation to help families on their Jewish journey. PJ Library shares Jewish culture and values through free, quality children's books that reflect the diversity of Jewish customs. PJ Library is more than just snuggley moments with your child at home – PJ Library connects young Jewish families to each other and the Jewish Community.

JFEDKC funding (as well as support from a number of private benefactors and current/former PJ Library parents) provides books at no cost to more than 970 children in Kansas City. JFED also covers the cost of fun PJ Library events that create a strong social network for families with young children. PJ Library signature events include:

  • Bagels & Babies (newborns to 24 months)
  • Guf-ing Around (walkers to 5 years)
  • Jammy Jam Movie Night (ages 10 and under)
  • Hanukkah Glow Party (ages 10 and under)
  • NEW! Gathering for Good: A Family Volunteering Opportunity (ages 2-5)
