To sustain and enhance Jewish Life at Home and Around the World.

Community Leadership Institute

Every organization in the Jewish community faces a critical shortage of effective volunteer leaders, especially to serve on their boards of directors and as officers.  For over thirty years, the Jewish Federation has provided a variety of activities designed to assist Jewish agencies and congregations with leadership development.  From single-topic workshops to the intensive two-year Helzberg Leadership Fellows program, we have been at the forefront of this important work. In fact, leadership development is one of the programmatic objectives outlined in our strategic plan.

We are fortunate to live in a community with strong Jewish values and a proud history of service and philanthropy. If we wish for our Jewish values to remain strong and vibrant for generations to come, we must invest in preparing our future leaders. With this in mind, our Federation has introduced a new initiative called the Community Leadership Institute. Its mission is to strengthen all aspects of our Jewish community by preparing seasoned leaders to excel in their future posts, and also to foster an even stronger spirit of collaboration among Jewish organizations across Greater Kansas City.

Together our community can create a vibrant future that engages, inspires and impacts generations of Jews for decades to come.
