What is Women's Philanthropy?

Women's Philanthropy is dedicated to the continuity, connectivity, and thriving future of the Jewish community, here in Kansas City and around the world. We are a diverse group of compassionate and dedicated women connected by our Jewish values and traditions.

We are leaders, influencers, and advocates working to make a positive impact in our community. We are volunteers and committee members committed to Jewish Federation’s mission to sustain and enhance Jewish life.

The Power of Women's Philanthropy

By giving to Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City, you demonstrate the importance of tzedakah (righteouness/charity) and tikkun olam (repairing the world). You take your place in the long line of women who have carried on these fundamental Jewish traditions, and you inspire others to translate their caring into giving that makes a difference.

85% of women drive their household’s charitable giving decisions. Women’s Philanthropy is here to empower, educate, and engage the women of Jewish Kansas City.

Everyone is Welcome

Women’s Philanthropy is a welcoming space for all women who are passionate about building and sustaining a vibrant Jewish community. Whether you're just beginning your philanthropic journey or are a long-time supporter, there’s a place for you here.

With inclusive opportunities for engagement and giving, we also offer meaningful ways to celebrate and recognize the generosity and leadership of women who go above and beyond in their commitment to Jewish life.

Women's Philanthropy Giving Societies

Pearl Society

The Pearl Society unites women under 45 to strengthen Jewish life through meaningful philanthropy and events. With a gift of $180 or more to the Annual Campaign, each woman takes responsibility for the welfare and continuity of the Jewish people. Together, we ensure a vibrant Jewish community for generations to come.

Lion of Judah

More than 18,000 Jewish women worldwide are leaders in philanthropic giving through their Lion of Judah gift of $5,000 or more to Jewish Federation’s Annual Campaign. Lions have the opportunity to participate in local and national conferences and events specifically tailored for this inspiring group.
