MEET THE YAD COMMITTEE

  • Greyson Rubin - Committee Chair

    A transplant to the Midwest, Greyson moved to KC after graduating from the University of Texas to work as an architect at Populous. Greyson is passionate about building community for young adults in KC. In his free time, you'll catch Greyson out running the trails, smoking BBQ brisket, cheering on his favorite sports teams, and grooving on the dance floor. Email: gmrubin13@gmail.com.

  • Jay Gilman - Philanthropy Chair

    Jay Gilman is a KC native who spent more than a decade in Philadelphia and Minneapolis before returning home. He is honored to pay it forward as a volunteer for YAD and Jewish Federation. Jay works as a senior consultant with CCS Fundraising, a leading global philanthropic strategy firm. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, biking, and the arts and festivals.   • Kara Kahn - Engagement & Communications Chair

    Kara was born and raised in Kansas City and grew up in the vibrant Jewish community at HBHA. She graduated from the University of Kansas with a Strategic Communications degree and moved back to KC to start her career. Kara is a development professional at a local nonprofit and is looking forward to giving back to the community she grew up in. In her free time, Kara enjoys spending time at her family's farm, cheering on the chiefs, or trying new KC restaurants! Email: kara.kahn4@gmail.com.

  • Alex Kaplan - Finance Chair

    Alex grew up in Overland Park and attended the University of Kansas, where he majored in accounting. He currently works for an accounting firm in Kansas City. He enjoys traveling, hanging out with his friends and is an avid supporter of the Chiefs and Royals.   • Jack Schreiber - Events Chair

    Jack Schreiber was born and raised in San Diego. He attended Willamette University in Oregon where he earned a degree in Sociology and played on the tennis team. He then completed a masters in Sport Management at the University of San Francisco. He moved to Kansas City in 2021 and is a full-time tennis coach at Genesis Health Clubs.   • Julia Osburn - Community Connectors Chair

    Julia grew up just north of KC in Excelsior Springs, MO. She attended The University of Missouri where she met her husband, Dan, who quickly introduced her to Hillel and Jewish life on campus. Dan and Julia have lived in KC for 10 years. Julia is an avid foodie and brewery lover who is lucky enough to work for Boulevard Brewing.
